Cedars Sinai seeks an experienced Hospital Inpatient Coder to assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes by reviewing documentation in accordance with coding guidelines. You will determine the principal diagnosis, comorbidities, and DRG sequencing for accurate billing and reporting, while staying current with MS-DRG/APR-DRG rules.

Role involves coding accuracy, collaboration with the CDI team, and data abstraction for statistics, with approved remote states including CO among others, enabling

Competenze

• Minimum 3 years' experience with inpatient code assignment in a healthcare setting.
• Experience coding using ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Hospitals or health system coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MS-DRG and APR-DRG concepts.
• RHIT/RHIA or CPC/CCS/CCS-P credentials required on hire.

Mansioni

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes according to guidelines.
• Identify principal diagnosis and DRG sequencing for patient stays.
• Review documentation in EPIC and other systems for accuracy.
• Collaborate with CDI team to align clinical and coding approaches.
