Job summary

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credential required (CCS/CPC/RHIT preferred).
• Minimum of five years coding/audit experience in acute care or healthcare consulting.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS and reimbursement methods.
• Proficiency with major EHR systems (Epic/Cerner/Meditech).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to operational and executive audiences.
• Experience working remotely within a consulting team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze findings and identify root causes of coding errors.
• Prepare client reports with references and audit results.
• Provide second-level QA to ensure compliance with coding standards.
• Respond to inquiries on compliance, coding and denials.
• Develop educational content and FAQs for clients.
