BayCare is seeking an experienced Advanced Inpatient Coding Specialist to work remotely from Florida as needed. You will review high-acuity cases across Orthopedics, Neurology, Cardiac, and more, ensuring accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and MS-DRG alignment.

The role requires 5+ years of acute care experience and 3+ years inpatient coding, CCS certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. This PRN/remote position offers flexible scheduling.

Formación

• 5+ years of acute care experience.
• 3+ years inpatient coding experience.
• CCS certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to code complex conditions.
• Create and manage physician queries and monitor hold reports.
• Support MS-DRG assignment and PSI/HAC reviews with Clinical Documentation Specialists.
• Mentor Coder I–III team members as needed.
