Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in the United States seeks a seasoned Clinical Coding Specialist to ensure accurate inpatient and outpatient coding for compliant reimbursement and data integrity. The role reports to the Coding Compliance Manager and supports department audits.

You will use ICD-10-CM, CPT, and 3M Coding tools, educate staff, and develop audit tools. RHIT/RHIA or CCS/CIC credentials plus 4 years of coding experience are preferred; a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC coding credentials preferred.
• 4+ years of hospital coding or auditing experience.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.
• Strong knowledge of reimbursement systems and policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular coding audits and monitor accuracy.
• Develop educational sessions for coding staff.
• Provide guidance on coding and documentation standards.
• Design tools to monitor coding accuracy and trends.
• Stay current with coding guidelines and reimbursement requirements.
• Support safe, efficient patient care and compliant coding.
