Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an experienced clinical coding auditor to ensure accuracy and data integrity across inpatient and outpatient coding. You will drive audits, educate staff, and support organization-wide coding standards, reporting to the Coding Compliance Manager.

Candidates should have four years of hospital coding/auditing experience, RHIT/RHIA/CCA/CCS/CIC certifications, and strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• RHIT/RHIA/CCA/CCS/CIC coding certification required.
• Minimum four years hospital coding or auditing experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular coding audits and monitors coding accuracy.
• Develops educational sessions for coding staff.
• Serves as a resource for organization-wide coding standards.
• Designs tools to monitor coding accuracy.
• Keeps abreast of coding guidelines and reimbursement requirements.
• Conducts trend analyses to identify patterns in coding practices.
• Adheres to AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding.
