Qualifications

• 1+ years of active professional credentials through AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, CCS, COC, RHIA, RHIT) required.
• 3+ years of inpatient or outpatient coding experience.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, APC/ASC, HCPCS, CPT.
• Thorough understanding of APR-DRG, AP-DRG, and MS-DRG systems.
• Experience in medical record coding and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of medical record documentation to verify the accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes, adhering to official coding guidelines.
• Achieve established productivity and quality performance standards while cross-training to review multiple claim types.
• Assist in training and mentoring new Coding Auditors, providing ongoing education and support.
