Job summary

Virtual Vocations Inc. is seeking a remote Medical Coding Quality Auditor (IP coding) to review medical records, ensure accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding, and support productive audits.

You will communicate with healthcare providers via coding queries, perform peer reviews, and uphold compliance standards in a fast-paced remote environment. The role requires attention to detail, strong knowledge of coding rules, and the ability to work independently while meeting quality and productivity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or other relevant coding certification
• Experience in reviewing medical documentation and assigning diagnosis and procedure codes
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
• Experience utilizing electronic encoder applications and coding software

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation to accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures through coding queries
• Perform peer reviews and quality audits of coding auditors and coders, ensuring adherence to compliance standards
