Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coding Auditor specialized in MSDRG appeals to review DRG and ICD-10-CM/PCS coding assignments for accuracy within the appeals team. You will consult with coding professionals across departments to ensure timely, compliant outcomes and clearly communicate appeals results to providers.

This remote role may require occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, with a start window of 6:00–9:00 a.m. EST.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS Certification

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient coding for accuracy of DRG and ICD-10-CM/PCS assignments.
• Collaborate with coding professionals across departments to ensure timely, compliant outcomes.
• Communicate appeals outcomes to providers in a concise, professional manner.
• Manage multiple priorities to ensure timely completion of inpatient coding appeals.
