Job summary

Humana is seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coding Auditor to review inpatient hospital claims for proper reimbursement and accurate DRG assignments. The role requires MS-DRG coding/auditing experience, claim interpretation, and strong attention to detail.

The position is remote with occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, with a 40-hour work week and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT or CCS Certification held for at least 4 years.
• Experience interpreting inpatient claims and performing reviews.
• Strong knowledge of MS-DRG coding and auditing practices.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient hospital claims for proper reimbursement and DRG assignments.
• Analyze medical records to extract relevant coding information.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
