Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an Acute Coding Appeals Specialist to review and write inpatient DRG appeals, using ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, NCCI, CMS and CMG guidance to support coding accuracy. The role requires inpatient coding experience, strong documentation and regulatory knowledge.

This remote position may require on-site travel for client locations. Advanced coding knowledge and an active certification (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CIC/CPC/COC) are required, with opportunities for education, training,

Qualifications

• Minimum inpatient facility coding experience with appeals/denials.
• Advanced knowledge of medical coding and billing systems and documentation.
• Familiar with ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, NCCI, CMS and CMG guidance.
• Active coding certification required (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CIC/CPC/COC).

Responsibilities

• Review and write appeals for inpatient DRG denials to support codes.
• Educate clients on coding/bookkeeping requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain detailed documentation and analyze root causes of coding issues.
• Meet productivity standards and participate in ongoing training.
