Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks an experienced Inpatient Medical Coding Auditor to review inpatient hospital claims for proper reimbursement, handling provider disputes in a metric-driven environment. This is a remote/work-at-home role with occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, within 6 AM–6 PM, with some flexibility. Requires RHIA/RHIT/CCS and MS-DRG auditing experience, in-depth claims interpretation, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT or CCS certification held for at least 4 years.
• MS-DRG coding/auditing experience in hospital/payor settings.
• Experience reading and interpreting hospital claims.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient hospital claims for proper reimbursement.
• Ensure correct DRG assignments and accurate coding.
• Communicate findings and collaborate with providers as needed.
