Job summary

Guidehouse seeks an experienced HIM Inpatient Coder to perform quality hospital coding on inpatient accounts across Medicare and non‑Medicare cases, including surgical, medical, cardiac, obstetric, and trauma charts. Candidates should have RHIA/RHIT/CCS credentials and 5+ years of inpatient facility coding experience.

The role is remote in the United States with a strong emphasis on timely documentation, adherence to guidelines, and maintaining a high accuracy rate while meeting productivity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Credentials required: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS.
• 5+ years inpatient facility coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality hospital coding on inpatient accounts (Medicare/Non Medicare, Surgical, Medical, Cardiac, moms/babies, trauma).
• Maintain knowledge of ICD-10-PCS, regulations, guidelines, and third‑party requirements.
• Maintain 96% accuracy with high productivity; process pending queues and re-bills per policy.
