You will code inpatient accounts in the Meditech Coding Abstract system and assign ICD CM/PCS codes, ensuring timely completion of daily coding tasks in alignment with professional and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have organizational and statistical reporting skills.

• Graduation from an accredited medical coding program.
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code medical information into the Meditech Coding Abstract system.
• Assign ICD CM/PCS codes to inpatient accounts as directed.
• Review and follow-up on facility charges, technical fees, and level of service for outpatient encounters.
• Adhere to a 95% coding accuracy rating.
