Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CCS or CPC certification preferred.
• Inpatient hospital coding experience of 3+ years.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and Virginia.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in Health Information Management.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS coding expected.

Responsibilities

• Enter ABS data with high accuracy (95%+).
• Meet bill drop dates and AR targets.
• Monitor and manage AR to drop old accounts per policy.
• Ensure coding denials are addressed promptly.
• Generate and format coding queries per guidelines.
• Maintain productivity standards (2 accounts per hour).
• Achieve DRG/APC accuracy targets.
• Report primary/secondary diagnoses per coding guidelines.
