Job summary

Cedars Sinai in Florida is seeking an experienced Hospital Inpatient Coder to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes by reviewing clinical documentation. You will determine principal diagnosis, comorbidities, and DRG sequencing to represent the patient stay accurately.

Youll work with EPIC CS-Link and related systems, collaborate with the CDI team, and ensure timely, compliant coding with attention to SDOH, HCC, and other reporting elements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospital coding.
• Certification required upon hire (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC/CS).
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG concepts essential.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes from medical documentation.
• Identify principal diagnosis, comorbidities, and code sequencing for accurate DRG.
• Abstract data elements and ensure timely, accurate coding in the system.
• Collaborate with CDI team on complex clinical scenarios.
