Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Coder Inpatient to assign ICD-10 and PCS codes for inpatient and outpatient encounters. The role supports coding accuracy through collaboration with physicians, CDI, and Quality teams in a fully remote capacity.

The position requires inpatient coding experience or substantial outpatient coding background, along with AHIMA/AAPC credentials. Eligible out-of-state candidates may apply.

Qualifications

• Inpatient coding experience required: 1 year or 3 years outpatient coding experience.
• Credential: AHIMA or AAPC coding certification; CCS preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts day after admission and assign ICD-10 and PCS codes.
• Review ongoing stays and update coding as documentation is added.
• Collaborate with physicians, CDI, and Quality to ensure accurate coding and data capture.
