UCHealth is seeking a Coder Inpatient to join the UCHlth Inpatient Coding team in Denver. This full-time role requires coding certification and experience with ICD-10/PCS coding.

It offers remote work with out-of-state eligibility and a pay range of $25.80-$38.70 per hour, depending on experience. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC; CCS preferred.
• At least 1 year inpatient coding experience or 3 years outpatient coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts day after admission and assign ICD-10 and PCS codes; update coding as documentation evolves.
• Collaborate with physicians, CDI, and Quality to ensure accurate coding and capture quality measures.
• Partner with Compliance and department committee to clarify coding issues.
• Enhance coding knowledge through continuing education and literature review.
• Operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and decisive judgment.
