Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in Florida is seeking a Hospital Inpatient Coder who will work remotely. The role involves coding and abstracting inpatient medical records with an emphasis on high accuracy rates and timely processing. Candidates must have an Associate degree in Health Information Management and relevant certification, with a strong background in ICD 10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding. Qualifications

• CCS or RHIT, RHIA or eligible to test for one of these. Certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
• Associate degree in Health Information Management or completion of Coding Specialist program.
• Minimum of 2 years of coding experience in ICD 10-CM/PCS.

Responsibilities

• Performs coding and abstracting on inpatient medical records with high accuracy.
• Assigns correct ICD-10-CM/PCS codes with a rate of 95% or greater.
• Codes/Abstracts 2.5 inpatient charts per hour.
