e4health is seeking an Inpatient Coder for a fully remote, full-time role. You will accurately abstract data into client EMR systems, apply ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines, and assign POA indicators in line with AHA and CMS directives.

Maintain a 95%+ accuracy rate and meet productivity goals while working from a home office. Required: AHIMA or AAPC credential, 3+ years inpatient coding in the US, experience with SDS/OBS, ED, and complex spinal procedures.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• 3+ years of inpatient coding in an acute care setting.
• Experience with inpatient SDS/OBS, ED and ancillary coding.
• Experience with complex spinal procedures and related grafting, plus general surgery and wound care.

Responsabilités

• Assigns ICD-10-CM/PCS codes to inpatient accounts per workflow.
• Abstracts and enters coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Assigns POA indicators and discharge dispositions.
• Queries physicians to clarify information when needed.
• Communicates documentation improvement opportunities to appropriate teams.
• Collaborates with CDI and Revenue Cycle teams for follow-up.
