Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced inpatient coders to join our team in a fully remote, flexible schedule setting. You will assign diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, ensure accurate abstraction from patient records, and supervise junior coders where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding facility experience.
• CCS/RHIT/RHIA credentials preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes from patient records.
• Sequence and abstract codes with precision and documentation adherence.
• Oversee and audit Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable.
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues.
• Maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate and 95% MS-DRG accuracy.
