Job summary

SolutionHealth is hiring a Hospital Inpatient Coder to accurately assign ICD-10 and DRG codes for hospital inpatient services, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements. You will collaborate with providers and coding leadership to resolve discrepancies and support revenue cycle performance.

The role requires at least 2 years of medical coding experience and current AHIMA or AAPC certification. A high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical coding experience.
• Current AHIMA or AAPC coding certification(s) required.
• Experience with ICD-10, DRG coding and documentation audits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assign ICD-10 and DRG codes to hospital inpatient services in accordance with guidelines and payer requirements.
• Interpret office, operative and procedure notes and assign codes and modifiers for compliance and optimal reimbursement.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, organizational protocols, and documentation regulations.
• Maintain a minimum 95% coding accuracy rate through quality assurance and audits.
