Job summary

LifeBridge Health is seeking a Medical Coding Specialist for a 100% remote role. You will review inpatient records, assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, and determine DRGs under CMS-DRG or APR-DRG guidelines.

Responsibilities include identifying diagnoses, ensuring documentation accuracy, and maintaining compliance with coding standards across the LifeBridge Health system. Eligible remote states include DC, MD, PA, VA, and WV.

Qualifications

• Formal working knowledge of medical coding principles and guidelines.
• Ability to accurately review medical records and assign codes.
• Familiar with ICD-10-CM/PCS coding conventions.

Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient medical records following established guidelines.
• Identify physician-documented diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Group codes for DRGs, CMS-DRGs or APR-DRGs.
• Ensure coding and documentation compliance with standards.
