Job summary

LifeBridge Health in Baltimore is seeking a dedicated inpatient coder to ensure accurate coding for hospital records. You will review documentation, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, and determine DRGs, including CMS-DRGs and APR-DRGs, to support proper reimbursements.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent, 1–3 years inpatient coding experience, and CCS/CCA/RHIT/RHIA certifications. This role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education in a specialized field is required.
• 1–3 years of inpatient coding experience is required.
• Certification required: CCS or CCA with five (5) or more years of coding experience; RHIT or RHIA.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and abstract inpatient medical records per established guidelines.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnoses and procedures.
• Determine DRGs, including CMS-DRGs and APR-DRGs.
• Review physician documentation to accurately identify and capture diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain coding accuracy and ensure regulatory compliance.
