Job summary

LifeBridge Health is seeking a remote inpatient coder to review and code hospital records, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, and determine DRGs. You will ensure documentation supports accurate coding and regulatory compliance.

The role requires an associate degree and 1–3 years of inpatient coding experience, with CCS/CCA/RHIT/RHIA certifications as applicable. Remote opportunities available across eligible states.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education is required.
• 1–3 years of inpatient coding experience required.
• Certifications CCS, CCA (5+ years), RHIT, or RHIA required.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and abstract inpatient medical records per coding guidelines.
• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS diagnosis and procedure codes accurately.
• Determine DRGs including CMS-DRGs and APR-DRGs.
• Review physician documentation to capture diagnoses/procedures.
• Maintain coding accuracy and regulatory compliance.
