Job summary

micro1 is seeking an Inpatient Coder (CCS) on a remote US-based contract to help train AI systems. You will review inpatient records to ensure ICD-10 and CPT coding aligns with guidelines, assess documentation accuracy, and code AI-generated content using standard coding classifications.

The role emphasizes maintaining coding integrity, resolving discrepancies, and data entry into clinical record databases, with a commitment of at least 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Active coding certification (CCS/CIC/COC/RHIA/RHIT or AHIMA/AAPC)
• Strong ICD-10 knowledge and CPT experience
• Access to current ICD-10/CPT references and E&M guidelines

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient records for accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding per guidelines
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Evaluate AI-generated notes for alignment with coding standards
• Code AI-generated information using ICD and CPT/HCPCS systems
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain data integrity
• Enter AI-derived patient information into inpatient record systems
