Job summary

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Certified Inpatient Hospital Coder (CCS required). The role may be remote, with training at the hospital and occasional in-person requirements. The coder will assign ICD-10 and CPT codes for inpatient and outpatient records, ensuring compliance with Medicare/Medicaid rules.

Must reside in Kentucky or Indiana, have CCS certification, and possess strong ICD-10-CM/CPT coding skills. Full-time days, 32–40 hours per week, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school education
• CCS certification
• Excellent ICD-10-CM, CPT and CCS coding skills
• Detailed knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology
• One year coding experience in hospital or physician setting
• Certified coding specialist, ART or RRA certifications are desirable

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure codes and CPT procedure codes for inpatient and outpatient charts
• Bill and classify medical records based on coding for billing purposes
