Community Health System is seeking a remote Medical Coder to support the entire health system. You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes for inpatient and outpatient accounts using current software and standards.

The role requires 5 years of inpatient coding experience, proficiency in DRG/APRDRG assignments, and CCS certification. This position emphasizes accuracy, growth, and collaboration with a large coding team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSE or CHS IEP Certificate required.
• Completion of courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology required.
• 5 years of recent inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting.
• CCS – Certified Coding Specialist required.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes for inpatient and outpatient accounts.
• Ensure accurate DRG/APRDRG assignments for reimbursements.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure coding accuracy.
