Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience required.
• Ability to work in a remote environment and meet productivity standards.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG/APC assignment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and EMR usage.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract inpatient records with high accuracy (≥95%).
• Assign DRG/APC and DRG applicability per guidelines.
• Abstract demographic data into the EMR accurately.
• Query providers when needed to clarify codes and ensure timely completion.
• Mentor new coders and support backlogged accounts.
