Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient DRG coding experience in an acute care facility
• Credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC (CCA/CCS/RHIA/RHIT/CPC) and maintained annually
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and DRG coding using an encoder

Responsibilities

• Identify assignment of ICD-10 CM/PCS, DRG and abstraction for facility services
• Adhere to official coding guidelines and client guidelines
• Maintain coding quality and productivity as required by Optum
