Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services seeks a remote Medical Coder with 2–4 years in inpatient and pro fee coding. You will abstract and code records across inpatient, outpatient, ER, and professional services, ensuring accurate sequencing and DRG/APC assignments.

You’ll maintain high quality and productivity per client guidelines. Ideal candidates have AAPC/AHIMA credentials, familiarity with Athena, Altera Sunrise, and Mosaic systems, and knowledge of CMS/AHIMA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program.
• Min 2–4 years of current production coding experience in acute care and pro fee.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code inpatient, outpatient, ER, pro fee and other records.
• Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures with correct sequencing.
• Apply DRG/APC reimbursement knowledge to codes.
• Maintain 95% quality rating and productivity as per client.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and CMS/AHIMA/AMA guidelines.
• Work in remote home office with standard tools.
