Qualifications

• 3+ years of current/recent IP coding experience.
• Experience coding IP facility charts for large acute care.
• CCS credential required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures.
• Select principal diagnosis and procedure and ensure proper DRG.
• Enter charts coded in real-time using Aquity applications.
• Maintain coding accuracy and meet productivity targets.
• Seek clarification from physicians when documentation is ambiguous.
