Qualifications

• 5+ years of inpatient PCS coding experience.
• CCS certification is required.
• OP coding experience preferred (3+ years).

Responsibilities

• Examine complete medical records to determine principal & secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Accurately sequence diagnoses & procedures to optimize DRG.
• Strive for optimal DRG assignments with system assistance.
• Maintain high productivity and quality levels.
• Collaborate with staff, leadership, and medical staff as needed for coding accuracy.
• Review coding guidelines and share updates with colleagues.
• Complete assignments as directed by management and pursue education.
• Work as a team to meet department and client goals.
