Job summary

Humana, Inc. is seeking an Innovation Portfolio Strategy Principal to drive the development of the clinical and population health sub-portfolio.

You will identify opportunities, advise senior executives, and lead cross-functional teams through design, development, and pilot launches, translating ideation into market-ready strategies and solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration across strategy, design, engineering, and operations, with a startup mindset and agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, public health, or related field.
• 10+ years of technical experience, clinical strategy, consulting, or innovation with a focus on digital/population health products.
• 2–3 years of leadership or project management experience.
• 3+ years of healthcare experience focused on Medicare populations.
• Experience with healthcare data analytics and related technologies.
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships including executives and external vendors.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of the clinical and population health sub-portfolio of solutions.
• Collaborate with strategy, design, engineering, clinical and operations teams to align with partners and member needs.
• Lead and develop junior team members as a manager and cross-functional leader.
• Translate ideation into strategic direction and actionable project plans.
• Partner with external digital health companies to co-develop solutions when appropriate.
• Define KPIs and plans for data ingestion and optimization to meet customer needs.
• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies across national and market leadership teams.
• Apply product management processes and best practices with data-driven insights.
