Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an Inland Marine Territory Manager to serve as the primary relationship manager for a defined territory. This remote role involves underwriting, marketing and managing large, complex commercial lines business with authority and direct contact with select agencies or brokers.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of creating broker relationships and influencing business placement.
• Prior commercial underwriting experience with authority.
• Strong understanding of Inland Marine insurance practice.
• Preference for existing agency/broker relationships within the territory.
• Significant experience with Inland Marine and/or Builders Risk lines.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, market and manage new and renewal commercial lines business within letters of authority.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to grow agency partnerships and market share.
• Lead and influence agencies to achieve profit, premium, and retention goals.
• Collaborate across lines of business to enhance Nationwide's presence in the territory.
• Monitor market conditions, assess risk, and drive action plans to improve results.
