Job summary

Nationwide’s Inland Marine team is seeking an experienced Territory Manager to be the primary relationship manager within a territory for large, complex or specialty commercial lines. You will underwrite, market and manage new and renewal commercial lines, drive profit and premium, and implement agency sales strategies.

You will lead and influence agencies, collaborate across lines of business, and ensure service levels and underwriting standards are met, while managing a significant workload

Qualifications

• Proven track record of creating broker relationships and influencing business placement.
• Prior commercial underwriting experience with authority.
• Strong understanding and business acumen in Inland Marine insurance industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, market and manage new and renewal commercial lines business within authority.
• Drive profit and premium by developing, negotiating and executing business plans.
• Lead and influence agencies through sales strategies and processes to drive new sales and retention.
• Coordinate with underwriting teams to deliver on agency business plans and performance targets.
• Markets products and services to drive agency and company results and supports pipelines.
