Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an Inland Marine Territory Manager to serve as the primary relationship manager within a territory for large, complex or specialty commercial lines. You will underwrite, market and manage new and renewal business within authority, driving profit and premium through sales strategies and effective agency collaboration.

This remote / work-from-home role requires approximately 25% travel to engage agencies and brokers.

Qualifications

• Seven to ten years of progressively responsible middle market commercial lines underwriting experience.
• Two to five years of sales and business development experience in middle market commercial lines.
• Strong knowledge of Inland Marine underwriting and product portfolio.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to operate with underwriting authority and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, market and manage new and renewal commercial lines within authority.
• Develop and execute business plans to drive profit and premium growth.
• Influence agencies through sales strategies and pipeline management.
• Collaborate with other lines of business to enhance Nationwide presence.
• Lead agency visits and maintain strong relationships with agencies and brokers.
