Job summary

UnitedHealth Group has a remote Pharmacy Technician role facilitating call-center communications and patient case management. You will handle inbound/outbound calls, verify benefits, and coordinate with infusion pharmacy teams to ensure timely care delivery.

The job requires a current Pharmacy Technician license, PTCB certification, and 2+ years in pharmacy tech and customer service. Telecommuting is available for NV/TX/AZ residents, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license as required by state law.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is required.
2+ years experience as a Pharmacy Technician and 2+ years of customer service.

Responsibilities

Manage inbound and outbound call center communications for customer inquiries and service requests.
Perform patient case management for bleeding disorders with monthly refills and assessments.
Collaborate with pharmacists, sales and nursing for coordinated patient care.
Demonstrate active listening and problem solving to identify underlying issues.
Support Benefit Verification with processing test claims to secure clearance.
Document all caller questions/issues through resolution.
Aim for one-call resolution and review orders/prescriptions for urgency and accuracy.
Onboard new patients with a high-touch approach.
