Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Pharmacy Technician to manage patient calls, verify benefits, and process prescriptions. You will coordinate with pharmacists, nursing staff, and the Benefit Verification team to ensure seamless patient care and timely order creation.

The role requires active pharmacy tech licensure, PTCB, and at least 2 years of experience, with remote work eligibility in NV/TX/AZ and a pay range of $16-$29 hourly depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician licenses as required by state law.
• PTCB certification and minimum 2+ years as a Pharmacy Technician.
• 2+ years of customer service experience and strong computer skills.
• Currently located in Texas or Nevada with required state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound call center communications for patient care.
• Perform bleeding disorder/alpha 1 patient case management and monthly refills.
• Coordinate with pharmacists, sales, and nursing to ensure coordinated care.
• Document all caller questions and resolve issues, aiming for one-call resolution.
• Review orders/prescriptions for urgency, accuracy, and claims status.
• Onboard new patients using a high-touch model.
