GovCIO is hiring an Infrastructure Security Lead for a U.S. Coast Guard program. The role is fully remote within the United States, leading security across ICAM, network security, and governance.

You will develop roadmaps, drive risk-based decisions, and own incident response while coordinating with IT, DevSecOps, and cloud teams. The ideal candidate has 12+ years of information security experience, 3–5 years in leadership, and a active Secret clearance with CISSP certification.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership/lead role.
• Clearance required: active Secret clearance.
• CISSP certification required.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and mature security posture across network security, ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO programs.
• Design, implement, and operate secure, compliant infrastructure.
• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments.
• Establish and maintain incident response, detection, and post-incident reviews.
• Define security policies and ensure alignment with frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• Mentor and develop a high-performing security team.
• Collaborate with IT/DevSecOps and cloud teams to implement secure-by-default controls.
