Jacobs is seeking a grant writer to support cities, counties, and utilities in securing federal and state funding for critical infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with grants experts, planners, economists, and engineers to understand projects and craft compelling applications.

Responsibilities include drafting sections of grant narratives, conducting desktop research on regional trends, tracking compliance, and ensuring proposals meet agency requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 2 years of professional experience required.
• Experience with federal or state infrastructure grant programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in project kickoff and coordination calls with clients to discuss candidate grant projects and request relevant information on the infrastructure project seeking funding.
• Draft sections of project grant applications, ensuring that all funding agency requirements are addressed to the best extent possible.
• Conduct desktop research to “make the case” for the project, including on topics such as regional economic trends, demographics served by the project, and past impacts of infrastructure failures.
• Track compliance of draft applications with requirements identified in instructions and guidance documents provided by grant agencies.
