Job summary

Excelsior is seeking an infrastructure engineer to join a growing Infrastructure team in Albany, NY. You will manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure, automate with IaC, and own Tier 3 incidents, collaborating with multiple IT teams.

This role offers hybrid work with remote options and occasional travel for meetings and professional development. You will drive operational excellence, governance, and real-time problem solving in a complex enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive IT infrastructure or related support engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud/hybrid infrastructure, incident management, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve cloud and hybrid infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, telephony, identity, databases, backups, and monitoring.
• Provision and maintain infrastructure via automation and IaC; develop scripts and workflows.
• Own complex Tier 3 incidents from triage to resolution.
• Analyze service desk and infrastructure trends to identify recurring issues and risks.
• Maintain runbooks, diagrams, and change documentation; improve ITIL/ITSM workflows.
• Protect infrastructure with least-privilege access and patching; participate in risk reviews.
• Partner with multiple teams to translate pain points into service improvements.
