Job summary

Charles River Associates in New York is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and continuously improve hybrid infrastructure across on‑prem and public cloud. You will focus on platform engineering practices, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and operational excellence to deliver scalable, secure services.

You will collaborate with cloud, networking, security, and application teams to create reusable platform capabilities, automate lifecycle management, and enable modernization

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a relevant tech field.
• Azure/AWS Solutions Architect or cloud certifications preferred; Terraform Associate/Advanced desirable.
• 8+ years supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and multi-clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• 5+ years with Terraform and IaC methodologies.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps with GitHub Actions/Jenkins for automated delivery.
• Automation using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python, and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain hybrid infrastructure platforms (on‑prem and cloud).
• Develop reusable platform services enabling self‑service provisioning.
• Establish platform standards, golden images, reference architectures, and guardrails.
• Contribute to enterprise platform roadmaps and modernization projects.
• Develop IaC solutions and automation pipelines.
• Support and optimize VMware-based and cloud environments with observability tools.
