Job summary

Encore Talent Solutions has partnered with a client to identify an Infrastructure Engineer for a 3-6 month contract to hire. The role is fully remote with flexible timing to accommodate PST core hours and minimal after-hours work. You will lead automation and AI-powered tooling to modernize IT infrastructure.

You will own the reliability and security of a hybrid cloud environment, reducing manual workload through automation, and integrating AI capabilities across IT workflows.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in systems engineering or systems administration in hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI tools or LLM-powered workflows in IT operations.
• Working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and endpoints exposure.
• Strong API fluency with REST API integrations and scripting in Python/PowerShell.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Intune.

Responsibilities

• Administer macOS, Windows 10/11, and Windows Server with automation to reduce manual admin tasks.
• Manage Azure AD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Azure AD Domain Services, including Group Policy and access control.
• Administer Microsoft 365 products and endpoint management (Intune) and support Azure cloud infrastructure and hybrid connectivity.
• Support hybrid networking, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, and firewalls; ensure HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST compliance.
• Build automated monitoring pipelines and AI-assisted incident response workflows; document changes.
