Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an Industrial Account Manager for a remote/field-based role in the Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI area. You will manage and grow a sales territory with a network of distributors and represent the DeWalt, Stanley, Lenox brands across industrial solutions.

You will demonstrate the value of our portfolio, run product trials, provide cost-savings analyses, and support customers with sales service, inventory control, and promotions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/associate degree or 5+ years of equivalent trade experience.
• 2+ years of direct industrial sales experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Technical and mechanical ability to work with tools and machines.
• Salesforce.com or other CRM preferred.
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to set priorities.
• Must be able to develop and present programs to customers and sales org.

Responsibilities

• Manage, grow, and develop a sales territory with a network of distributors representing brand portfolios.
• Demonstrate value of our product portfolio and provide cost savings analyses.
• Support customers with sales service in analysis, inventory control, and promotions.
• Handle administrative aspects and timely reporting for territory management and forecasts.
• Keep distributors informed about products and keep sales staff focused on value-added service.
• Create and present programs to customers and sales teams.
• Travel approximately 35% within territory.
