Rea is seeking a SALT Consulting Tax Manager to balance high-level multi-state tax consulting with hands-on sales tax system configurations and exemption management. You will participate in tax software implementations and tax technology process improvements across diverse ERP/Ecommerce platforms.

The role emphasizes client interaction, analytical problem solving, and staying current with AI-enabled SALT workflows to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university preferred.
• 4–5 years' experience in state and local experience consulting, specifically sales and use tax.
• CPA certification or CMI in sales tax (or in line with CMI expectations).
• Avalara CIP certification.
• Avalara, Vertex, implementation experience.
• Exemption Certificate Management Experience.
• Ecommerce and ERP experience (NetSuite, Microsoft Business Central, QBO, Shopify, Woo Commerce, Big Commerce).
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience integrating AI and emerging technologies into SALT workflows to improve project execution and client service.

Responsabilités

• Assist with nationwide nexus studies for sales tax, income tax, and other tax types.
• Assist with nationwide risk assessments quantifying exposure for various taxes.
• Assist clients with indirect tax engine evaluation and selection.
• Overseeing complex sales tax system implementations for clients with diverse ERP/Ecommerce platforms.
• Assist with voluntary disclosure projects.
• Prepare memoranda on state and local tax issues and taxability of products or services.
• Maintain active communication with clients and direct client interaction within your first week.
