Rea seeks a seasoned SALT Consulting Tax Manager to lead multi-state sales and use tax engagements across Ohio and Florida. You will combine high-level tax advisory with hands-on tax system configurations, exemption management, and ERP/e-commerce implementations.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent from an accredited university preferred.
• 4-5 years' experience in state and local tax consulting, specifically sales & use tax.
• CPA or CMI certification in sales tax or aligned with CMI expectations.
• Avalara CIP certification and experience with Avalara/Vertex/tax software.
• Exemption certificate management and ecommerce/ERP systems experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nationwide nexus studies for sales tax and other taxes.
• Assist with nationwide risk assessments quantifying exposure.
• Assist clients with indirect tax engine evaluation and selection.
• Oversee complex sales tax system implementations across ERP/Ecommerce platforms.
• Assist with voluntary disclosure projects.
• Prepare memoranda on state/local tax issues and product taxability.
• Maintain direct client communication from the start.
