Job summary

Western National Insurance Group in Indiana seeks a Senior Territory Sales Manager to drive growth with independent agencies. This remote, field-based role combines strategic account leadership with hands-on territory development across the Indiana market.

You will recruit and partner with agency principals, producers, and staff, outline business plans, coach agencies, and work with underwriting and marketing to deliver profitable outcomes while traveling within the territory.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in property-and-casualty insurance sales or related agency-facing roles.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with agency principals, producers, and staff to become their preferred carrier partner.
• Identify opportunities to grow profitable business by understanding each agency's goals and market opportunities.
• Recruit new agency partners aligned with Western National's long-term growth strategy.
• Develop business plans with agencies that drive sustainable, profitable growth.
• Travel throughout assigned territory to visit agencies (approx. 15–25%).
