Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Manager, Incident Response Consulting to join a leadership team in the IT security space. This remote role will guide high-impact incident response engagements for clients facing active security events and forensic investigations.

The manager will oversee triage, scoping, and technical analysis while partnering with executives, legal counsel, and internal teams to drive effective response efforts.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in incident response or information security.
• Proven team leadership in a consulting environment.
• Strong background in computer and network forensic analysis.
• Experience with reverse engineering and malware analysis.
• Knowledge of cloud incident response methodologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to work independently on technical tasks.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident response engagements for clients.
• Perform initial triage and scoping to assess client needs.
• Communicate effectively with executives on forensic and malware topics.
• Develop innovative methods for detecting threats in large data sets.
• Conduct intrusion investigations under outside counsel direction.
• Mentor junior analysts in forensic techniques across multiple platforms.
• Provide strategic recommendations to enhance security postures.
