Job summary

Equitable is seeking an Employee Benefits Reporting & Compensation Analyst to support incentive programs and reporting for the Financial Services Team. The role partners with licensing, appointments, and commissions to ensure accurate compensation, timely payments, and strong governance.

It also supports audits and process improvements in a dynamic environment. The position offers flexible scheduling (remote/hybrid) with potential 2–3 days on-site near Charlotte, NY, or Syracuse.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience leveraging SQL, data analysis, and QA methodologies to support compensation, commission, or financial payment processes.
• Proven ability to build relationships with internal/external stakeholders while delivering accurate results.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and data analysis tools.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset focused on process improvement and controls.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and administer incentive compensation programs (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Generate compensation statements and provide insights to drive sales performance.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership to establish and optimize compensation arrangements.
• Investigate and resolve data, file transmission, and downstream system issues.
• Perform QA reviews of commission transactions and processes for compliance and accuracy.
• Analyze data trends, research discrepancies, and recommend improvements.
• Conduct appointment reconciliations across internal systems and state records.
• Support setup and maintenance of broker/GA commission structures.
