Job summary

Equitable in Syracuse, NY, is seeking an Employee Benefits Reporting & Compensation Analyst to support incentive compensation programs and reporting across the Financial Services Team.

You will partner with sales leadership, manage bonus calculations, ensure data integrity, and assist audits and process improvements in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This role offers flexible scheduling with remote/hybrid options and a competitive base salary.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• 3+ years using SQL, data analysis, and QA to support compensation and commission processes.
• Proven ability to build lasting relationships with internal/external stakeholders with strong customer service and accurate admin transactions.
• Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs for data trends and decision making.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to improve processes, controls, and operational effectiveness.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design, review, and administer incentive compensation programs for monthly, quarterly, and annual bonuses.
• Partner with Sales leadership to establish and optimize compensation arrangements aligned with goals.
• Collaborate with Commissions, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve data, file transmission, and system issues.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of commission transactions, invoices, and processes for governance and accuracy.
• Analyze, validate, and commission data, identify trends, and propose data-quality improvements.
• Conduct appointment reconciliations between internal systems and state regulatory records.
• Set up and maintain broker and General Agency commission structures, hierarchies, and payment scales.
• Use analytical skills to evaluate compensation scenarios and support process improvements.
